Teachers and students of schools in western coastline in Socotra, who received the school books, expressed their happiness distribution of school books. They highlighted to Socotra Online that education sector has been under great concern of the United Arab Emirates represented by Khalifa Foundation. It has implemented many significant and vital projects, which were positively reflected on the educational process in schools in the Socotra Archipelago.
Khalifa Foundation worked hard and fast on figuring out solutions in sake for successful educational process in schools of Socotra. Therefore, Khalifa Foundation was concerned with preparing the curriculum for all grades in order to contribute to providing the most important aspects of the educational process.
In spite of difficulties to reach to some schools, teams of Khalifa Foundation tried to overcome challenges and difficulties to reach to schools in order to distribute the school books that would help in improvement of quality of education.
Socotra Online was present to reflect the moments of distribution of school books to students in schools of the western coastline in Socotra, and reflect feedback of teachers and students.
Mr. Saeed Abdullah Saeed, Principal of Othman Ibn Afan School, mentioned that the United Arab Emirates represented by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation contributed to providing the most important aspect of the educational process, which was the school books. The Foundation adopted printing, transporting and distributing school books.
Mr. Yahia Mohamed Ali mentioned that teaching would not be effective in case of lack of books, as teacher had to summarize lessons and do home assignments in order to simplify the process of studying for exams, which has become the only standard for measurement of intelligence of students.
Janat Badr, Student in the eighth grade in Salemin School, expressed her happiness and joy and it considered it a good opportunity to express appreciation and gratitude to team of Khalifa Foundation for provision of school books.
In addition, AbdelRahman Mohamed Saad, Student in Othman Ibn Afan School, commended the outstanding efforts of Khalifa Foundation in distribution of school books to students of Socotra. He also highlighted that support of Khalifa Foundation was not limited to books, as it also provided busses for transportation of students, and qualified the distinguished students to study abroad as well as contracted with large number of teachers to fill the gap of teaching staff.
