Plastic Recycling Courses by Foreign Experts with Support of Khalifa Foundation

In line with the great concern with the environmental sector and encouragement of the people to utilize waste for avoidance of its harm, Khalifa Foundation worked on supporting the environmental sector and hygiene in Socotra. Yesterday morning, the Foundation conducted different training courses on recycling of plastic waste for utilization of the same and avoidance of harm.

Socotra Online was present to reflect the opinions of the participants. Ahmed Saleh Al Yafiee said that the course titled “Recycle of Plastic Waste into Works of Art” aimed at utilization of waste and garbage to transfer them into useful things. He added that the course aimed at improvement of the environment for being healthy and clean environment. He added that the children from 7 years old to 18 years old were the target, as this would be reflected on 250 families. He also highlighted that the concept was applied in Lyoa desert in Abu Dhabi, and it was going to be implemented in Socotra. It was largely welcomed by the people of Socotra of different community groups.

Student Hanadi Zuhair Faizan expressed her deep appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for the great support represented in these courses, which would be positively reflected on the community. She also thanked the instructors from different foreign countries for the great effort.

In this regard, student Bashar Faiz Mohamed Saeed highlighted the importance of these courses for elimination of environmental waste for clean and beautiful environment. He also thanked Khalifa Foundation for the great effort in all fields, especially the environmental aspect.
