The people of the west coast of Socotra celebrated the 48th UAE National Day yesterday under slogan “Spirit of the Union” with presence of group of Sheikhs and leaders of districts. The people raised photographs of the leaders of the United Arab Emirates and extended their congratulations to the people of the United Arab Emirates.
Socotra Online met Mr. Saad Mohamed Al Yousfi, Head of Election Center, who expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and extended his congratulations to the people and leaders of the United Arab Emirates.
He also said that the United Arab Emirates supported Socotra in different fields including construction of a school in Daihamd and refurbishment and maintenance of Aiheft project, which was considered as an important project for the people of the west coast.
Sheikh Suliman Abdullah, Sheikh of Sheikhs in Socotra, extended his congratulations to leaders and people of the United Arab Emirates for this celebration.
He highlighted the humanitarian activities by Khalifa Foundation in Socotra and expressed loyalty and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for such support.
Sheikh Said Suliman bin Qathen said to Socotra Online that their gathering is to share happiness and joy with the people of the United Arab Emirates celebrating the 48th UAE National Day.
