The efforts of teams of Khalifa Foundation in different field across Socotra are significant. No doubt, drilling wells in different places across Socotra is one of the most important projects, which was largely appreciated by the people of Socotra. The people of Hamrah, in particular, expressed their deep appreciation for such wells that would help them in arrangement of their daily needs of potable water.
Khalifa Foundation has identified the way of noble humanitarian grants from the people of charity in the United Arab Emirates to support the people of Hamrah with many pipelines to facilitate pumping the water from the well to the district.
The people expressed their thanks and appreciation for the UAE support with folklore songs that used to be sung in weddings and events.
Sheikh Hazmehi Abdullah commended the effort of Khalifa Foundation and its outstanding role in helping the people.
In turn, Mr. Mohamed Salem Al Sulaimi commended the humanitarian grants by the United Arab Emirates to the people of the Socotra Archipelago, and added that Qabhaten was lack of wells and suffered from drought, and highlighted that it had 12 wells thanks to Khalifa Foundation.
Mr. Saeed Malek Abdullah, Identifier of Qabhaten, mentioned that Khalifa Foundation was the first hand that helped the people of Socotra during bad times. He also highlighted that the crisis of water happened multiple time, but Khalifa Foundation helped in solving this problem. He also thanked Khalifa Foundation for the financial and developmental support in different fields and services.
