The people of the capital Hadiboh expressed their deep appreciation for the outstanding role by Khalifa Foundation in helping the people of Socotra in all fields to have integrated health environment.
The comprehensive cleaning campaign in Hadiboh, that was implemented by Development Committee at Khalifa Foundation in Socotra, which witnessed a large participation by the people, was largely welcomed by the people of Socotra. They considered that the campaign was very successful in removal of all plastic and paper waste deforming the general look and landscapes in the governorate.
Socotra Online reflected the opinions of the people. Mr. Ali Ibrahim Al Thiqali mentioned that the cleaning campaign, as called by Development Committee in coordination with Khalifa Foundation, worked on removal of waste and garbage from streets of Hadiboh for clean Socotra, as it was considered as a global heritage. It would help in preservation of environment and awareness-raising among the people of Socotra. He added that the people of Socotra would like to present their thanks and deep appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for such achievement.
Mr. Sameh Abdullah said to Socotra Online that the people of Socotra considered such achievement as concern and care for health of the people from part of Khalifa Foundation, which was not the first. He highlighted that Khalifa Foundation implemented many campaigns for clean Socotra for the benefit of the people.
He also expressed his thanks to all participants for such outstanding effort.
In this regard, Sheikh Ahmed Ghaleb bin Yaqoob, head of the tribal union of the western coastline, spoke about his participation with sheikhs of the western coastline in the cleaning campaign with the people of the capital Hadiboh, and highlighted that such campaign was very important for clean capital to reflect the image of heritage in Socotra.
He also commended the great role of the United Arab Emirates in developmental and humanitarian activities in Socotra. He also highlighted that the United Arab Emirates used to help the people of Socotra in all fields.
Abdullah Saeed Abdullah, one of contractors and participants with equipment to remove the waste, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation for the great effort and hard working in removal of the waste and garbage from streets of Hadiboh. He also highlighted that the charity activities by the United Arab Emirates were in all fields.
