Nujed Culture and Heritage Festival continues its events on the southern coastline of the Socotra Archipelago with support of Khalifa Foundation. It included many heritage events such as handcrafts, women cooking such as Asida, dates competitions, camels racing competition and other events.
Nujed Culture and Heritage Festival 2020 witnessed a large number of audience from the people of Socotra from different places with participation full of love, peace and happiness for revival of heritage of Socotra. The Festival was supported by the United Arab Emirates, and largely welcomed by people of Socotra.
Socotra Online was present to cover the Festival. Sheikh Ghanem Saeed Al Zahqi, Identifier of Nujed, said that the Festival was supported by Khalifa Foundation for revival of the heritage of Socotra. The Festival was in coinciding with the football championship in Nujed. Many events were held during the Festival such as dates competition, camels racing competition, and cooking competitions. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation for such support to heritage of Socotra.
Sheikh Abdullah Selim, Sheikh of Zayed City 1, Setroh, expressed his deep appreciation and thanks to the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation for the support of the Heritage Festival.
