Outstanding Success of Traffic Regulation Campaign in Socotra since its Launch

Lieutenant Colonel Mubarak Suliman bin Qablan, Director General of Traffic Department in Socotra, highlighted that the wide traffic campaign in Socotra, which was launched in beginning of August, witnessed an outstanding tangible success through its good effects reflected in reduction of overcrowding in streets of Hadiboh. In addition, the campaign worked on directing buses and trucks to their allocated places. He also mentioned that this reflected awareness of the people of Socotra and their cooperation with the police officers. He also highlighted that concerning with traffic department by the Headquarters of Police showed the proper administrative approach of the governorate leading to encouraging citizens to correct situations of their vehicles.

Major Mohamed Saeed Basoter, Deputy Director of Traffic Department in Socotra, mentioned to Socotra Online that the traffic department worked on directing buses and trucks, which would be an impediment against traffic regulation in streets of Hadiboh, to their allocated places. In addition, buses and trucks were moved from the location in front of Salah Al Deen School and buses from the location in front of Saad Ali Salmen Playground to Summerland Hotel. The work started in coincidence with the traffic regulation campaign in streets of Hadiboh through intense work for sake of safety of all people and facilitation of movement of vehicles without impediments.

He concluded his statement by expressing his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates represented by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for the great effort in supporting the traffic department in Socotra by providing license issuance device and title issuance device.

Ahmed Abdullah Saad mentioned that the effort of the traffic department teams was outstanding, and expressed thanks and appreciation to the teams.

Ahmed Essa Ahmed, Bus Driver, said that the buses in their allocated places would help in reduction of vehicles overcrowding, and thanked the traffic department teams for the outstanding effort.
