Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Socotra was considered as the main health care service provider that welcome people of different locations across Socotra looking for health and medical care services. It was worth noting that Sheikh Khalifa Foundation witnessed many achievements with generous support by the United Arab Emirates contributing to promoting medical service in Socotra.
The most important achievements in Sheikh Khalifa Hospital included different fields including recruitment of specialized doctors as well as establishment of hemodialysis unit, x-ray unit, and emergency department. The Hospital conducted many successful surgeries in 2020. In addition, critical patients were transported to UAE hospitals to be treated on cost of Sheikh Khalifa Foundation.
In addition, Sheikh Khalifa Hospital welcomed thousands of patients of people of different locations across Socotra in outpatients and emergency department. Thanks to Khalifa Foundation, the hospital was provided with medical devices and tools to help people of Socotra.
Sheikh Khalifa Foundation provided the hospital with modern devices and x-ray devices in addition to provision of medicine and laboratory devices.in addition, the hospital sent a medical team to Abd Al Kuri Island and Samha Island to sanitize locations to control spread of COVID-19.
