A new building of intensive care unit was opened in Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Socotra after being prepared with all medical equipment and devices with support from Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation. This opening was in line with the efforts of developing Sheikh Khalifa Hospital to provide the highest medical and health services to people of the Island.
Dr. Akram Al Sharaabi, Intensive Care Specialist, commended the generous support by Khalifa Foundation, which provided the Hospital with priority care, as the Foundation worked on providing the Hospital with the most recent medical equipment and devices. He also mentioned that the Island witnessed a quality transformation in field of medicine and health care through opening such intensive care unit.
In turn, people of Socotra expressed their happiness for opening this new building, which would be considered as one of the most important medical departments.
