As a new achievement by the United Arab Emirates in Socotra, Development Committee at Khalifa Foundation opened the Road of Tamhak District with presence of Sultan Ali bin Essa Al Afrar, Head of Development Committee at Khalifa Foundation, group of sheikhs, leaders and members of committee.
Opening of this road was in line with support of Khalifa Foundation to facilitate suffering of people. It witnessed a large welcome by people of Socotra, who expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation and the United Arab Emirates for such great effort.
Mr. Essa Saeed Al Hakmi, Director General of Qalansiyah, in his statement during opening, commended the great effort that would mitigate suffering of people of different ages and the patients who suffered due to the long distance.
Socotra Online was present to reflect feedback of people of Socotra. Sheikh Salem Abdullah Ba Nujig, Sheikh of Tamhak, mentioned that people of the district were very happy for opening that road that would help them in solving many problems resulting from long distance.
Mohamed Saad Abdullah mentioned that the effort afforded by Khalifa Foundation was a simple glimpse of support provided by Khalifa Foundation to the Socotra Archipelago. He also thanked field teams of Khalifa Foundation for the great effort in helping people of Socotra.
In turn, Mr. Salem Daheq, Deputy Chief of Development Committee, commended the outstanding support and effort of Khalifa Foundation in Socotra. He also mentioned that this achievement was in line with making people of Socotra happy with better quality of life.
