Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation gave a great attention to education sector in Socotra with aim at preparation of a new generation that would contribute to development of Socotra.
As a new achievement by Khalifa Foundation, a computer laboratory including 15 computer was opened at Qalansiyah Secondary School as well as a special instructor was provided.
Mr. Saad Mohamed Al Jadmahi, Director of Education Office in Qalansiayh, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates represented by Khalifa Foundation in Socotra for the great support, and commended their presence and great role, which resulted in upgrading education process in Socotra. He also added that students were very happy for acquiring such knowledge, which would contribute to improvement of education process.
Mr. Omar Abdel Aziz, computer instructor, asserted that he would afford all possible efforts to transfer his knowledge to students. He also expressed his gratitude to Khalifa Foundation for the support in opening the computer laboratory.
Photography team of Socotra Online was present at opening of the computer laboratory and reflected feedback of students.
Ibrahim Othman Hadeed, Student at Saif bin Di Yazan Primary School, expressed his happiness for such opportunity and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for concerning with education sector in Socotra.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation has been affording all possible efforts for years to improve quality of education in Socotra. The Foundation worked on providing specialized teachers from Egypt as well as paying their salaries. Furthermore, Khalifa Foundation established Socotra International University and established new schools starting from foundation until launch.
Support of Khalifa Foundation was not limited to education Socotra, as it can be witnessed in all fields on the island.
