Yesterday, Monday, Socotra International Airport witnessed the arrival of Sultan Ali bin Issa bin Afrar, Chairman of the Development Committee, after his visit to the United Arab Emirates.
The arrival of Sultan bin Afrar to the island of Socotra was well received by the leadership of the local authority, the Transitional Council, sheikhs, dignitaries, and social figures.
The reception witnessed a wide festive atmosphere and popular artistic performances in celebration of the arrival of Sultan Ali bin Afrar, Head of the Development Committee, whose arrival represented great importance for the people of Socotra for his role and his societal position at the governorate level.
Raed Al-Juraibi, Senior Undersecretary of Socotra Governorate, expressed their happiness as a local authority, sheikhs, and social and legal figures with the arrival of Sultan bin Afrar at Socotra Airport after his visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Brigadier General Ali Al-Dexami, Director General of the Police, also indicated the presence of all leaders at the reception of Sultan Ali bin Afrar at Socotra International Airport because of the societal weight of this personality, his role and his interest in serving his family on the island.
The reception was attended by Nazim Mubarak bin Qabalan, the First Vice President of the Local Command of the Southern Transitional Council; Raed Al-Juraibi, the First Undersecretary of the Socotra Governorate; Suleiman Shalulha, the Senior Sheikh of Socotra; Brigadier General Ali Al-Dexami; Brigadier General Mohsen Al-Haj, the Director General of Police, the staff of the First Marine Brigade; the directors general of Hadiboh and Qalansiyah districts; and members of the Executive Office.
