With instructions, follow-up and direct support of His Excellency Khalfan Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazroui, Representative of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Nujed Autumn Festival 2019 launched with a new look with a mass attendance showing the importance of this annual festival to the people and families who liked to gather and spend pleasing times at it.
The festival included several and different events, sport and heritage events. The sport events included Nujed Autumn Football Championship, which was held on Zayed City 1 Playground with participation of all Socotra football teams. While the heritage events included the traditional crafts made by women reflecting the creative and heritage arts in addition to skills of the people of Socotra. The festival also hosted some traditions and customs recognized in Socotra in addition to competitions held by the officials and supervisors of the festival among the children in Socotra. The festival was considered as an annual family entertainment destination. The people of Socotra expressed their overwhelming happiness for this annual festival, which witnessed large turnout from the people from many places in the Archipelago.
