The United Arab Emirates represented by Emirates Red Crescent and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation worked on construction of new residential cities for the people harmed of the latest cyclones, which affected the Archipelago. The United Arab Emirates supported construction of three residential cities in Dexim in Socotra.
Emirates Red Crescent constructed Al Ain city including 20 residential units and Yas city including 23 residential units. Khalifa Foundation constructed Al Mazrouei city including 25 residential units.
Sheikh Yahia Badbah, Identifier of Dexim, during his visit with Socotra Online, assured that many cities completed and delivered to the people in Al Ain and Yas in addition to some homes in Al Mazrouei city.
He added that the follow-up and concern of Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Representative of Khalifa Foundation, with construction of residential units through his continuous field visit to the people harmed of the cyclone. His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei instructed that work should be completed.
Sheikh Suliman, one of the harmed people, said that the district revived after the project of Emirates Red Crescent. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation and its Representative Khalfan Al Mazrouei.
Khalifa Foundation made the people happy by construction of cities, schools, medical center, sport playground, telecommunication network and group of projects.
It was worth noting that Emirates Red Crescent constructed group of residential cities in the Socotra Archipelago for the people harmed from the cyclones including Zayed 1, Zayed 2 and Dafaarho in Nujed in Socotra.
