Al Zahraa Secondary School in Socotra organized a visit to the model farm 1 following Khalifa Foundation.
During this visit, students witnessed presentation by Engineer Mohamed Salem on different vegetables and fruits in the farm as well as effort of team of Khalifa Foundation in improvement of the farm.
Students listened to vision of Khalifa Foundation in development of agriculture sector in Socotra through helping and motivating people by distributing thousands of various seedlings to home-garden farmers.
Engineer Mohamed Salem got students acquainted with the modern agriculture means that were required for farming and cultivating.
In turn, Ms. Wafaa Abdullah, who was accompanied with students, highlighted that this visit was in line with extra-curriculum activities to be implemented by the school every year. She also highlighted that the school always concerned with availing this visit to 20 female students that were assigned to implement school activities aiming at acquiring knowledge to be reflected on the school conditions.
In turn, students expressed their happiness for visiting the model farm 1 and recognizing the agriculture activity as well as vision of Khalifa Foundation on motivating people of Socotra.
They also expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for their outstanding effort, and asserted that their visit was a motivation for knowledge acquisition.
