The meat slaughterhouse in Socotra affiliated to the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works is witnessing maintenance and preparation work to receive and slaughter sacrifices during the blessed days of Tashreeq.
An official stated that the slaughterhouse witnessed a process of maintenance, its preparation in all respects, the installation of its various equipment that facilitate the slaughter process, the inspection of the water network, the provision of hygiene tools and all that is required for the success of the process of slaughtering the sacrificial animal in a smooth and fast manner.
The source indicated that the slaughterhouse would receive during the blessed Eid Al-Adha and the days of Tashreeq thousands of sacrifices offered by the Foundation to the people of the island in all residential centers, within the framework of the cooperation and support it provides to the archipelago and its children, which included all areas of life.
Last year, the gunman received more than 3,500 sacrifices that were slaughtered and prepared before a distribution to Socotra families in various cities, villages and regions, which contributed to drawing a smile on the family’s faces during the days of Eid al-Adha.
It is the first and only slaughterhouse on the island, whose presence is of great importance in maintaining the quality and cleanliness of the carcass through the use of modern equipment in the slaughter process at its various stages in accordance with health quality standards.
