After a break of more than four months due to the activity of the monsoon winds, commercial ships and fishing boats resumed their activity and life returned to the shores of Socotra, where most of the islanders depend for their livelihood on the sea that surrounds the island in addition to that it is the main outlet for providing the population with various needs of Food and construction materials.
Qalansiyah Beach is one of the lively beaches, which witnesses a wide turnout for the people who consider it a beautiful and close outlet, where fishermen who spend the daytime hours at the sea in search of various types of fish gather.
It is worth noting that the Khalifa Foundation has made significant contributions to improving and supporting the fish sector by providing various forms of support, the most important of which is the establishment of the Prime Fish Factory, which in turn provided job opportunities for hundreds of young people, in addition to the Foundation’s support for some fishermen by boat, fish cooperative societies and other different types of support.
