Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and Emirates Red Crescent launched distribution of humanitarian assistance in line with helping people through the humanitarian assistance provided by the United Arab Emirates to their brothers on the Island. Assistance included blankets, winter clothes, dates, and other materials needed by people of Socotra.
Mr. Saeed Al Kaabi, Representative of Khalifa Foundation and Emirates Red Crescent; Engineer Raid Mohamed Nasser Al Juraibi, Senior Deputy Governor; Sultan Ali Essa bin Afrar, Head of Development Committee at Khalifa Foundation, attended the launch.
Socotra Online was present to reflect feedback of people and sheikhs of Socotra in relation with launch of distribution of assistance. Engineer Raid Al Juraibi mentioned that launch of distribution of assistance by Khalifa Foundation and Emirates Red Crescent would make people happy, and expressed appreciation to the United Arab Emirates. He also asserted that Khalifa Foundation would distribute Ramadan Mer soon to all cities, villages and districts across Socotra.
Sheikh Ali Salem Omar, Member at Development Committee, highlighted that provision of assistance by Khalifa Foundation and Emirates Red Crescent has been a continuous humanitarian activity in order to achieve sustainable development.
Saeed Suliman bin Qathen highlighted that assistance included blankets, winter clothes, dates, and other materials.
