The people who are eager for poetry are waiting for the launch of the most popular competition “Poet of Socotra”. The organizing committee of the Annual Nujed Festival, with presence of representatives of Khalifa Foundation and Development Committee, announces about the shield of the competition. It will be held in coinciding of the heritage and culture events of the Annual Nujed Festival for this year.
The most distinguished competition will launch with support of Khalifa Foundation for revival of heritage of Socotra, as it is considered distinguished than other forms of poetry.
Abdullah Al Muhri, who is responsible for organization of the competition in Nujed Festival, highlighted that Khalifa Foundation shows a great concern with revival of the heritage of Socotra through such significant competitions, which the people wait for every year.
He added that the competition will be held under supervision of a referee committee consisting experts of interpretation of poetry of Socotra, and it will be held in coinciding with the various events of Nujed Festival.
