Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, through Dexim Power and Water Technology, supported the west coast areas with 30k power generators. The areas were Qashro Qatana, Alama, Gheba, Shart, and Ablahen. The generator was provided as an initial aid until the end of work in Sheikh Zayed Station 4 during the Year of Tolerance.
The people in these areas expressed their indescribable joy and happiness and their thanks to the leaders of the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation represented by its Representative, His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazroui, for such generous giving and concern helping in overcoming the suffering of the people and lighting areas in Socotra. They stated that the United Arab Emirates has been a good-willing country, and where it presented, there were developmental, economic, humanitarian, and social activities.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation provided many humanitarian aids to the people of Socotra in addition to the power connection. Dexim Power and Water Technology was working night and day in order to connect electricity to all areas across the Socotra Archipelago, with a follow-up by the representative of Khalifa Foundation, Sheikh Khalfan bin Mubarak Al Mazroui.
