Khalifa Foundation distributed 2573 schoolbooks to 1719 male and female students in 30th November School, who in turn commended effort of Khalifa Foundation that would contribute to improvement of academic acquisition.
Salem Abdullah Al Hamed, Secretary of 30th November School, highlighted that distribution of books to student by Khalfia Foundation was just simple part of efforts by the United Arab Emirates to develop education sector in Socotra.
Ms. Hala Abdullah mentioned that support by the United Arab Emirates represented by Khalifa Foundation in Socotra was not new, as it contributed to refurbishment and maintenance of schools across Socotra previously. In addition, Khalifa Foundation concerned with providing secondary school students with scholarships abroad every year. Furthermore, Khalifa Foundation contracted with number of teaching staff to fill the gap of teaching staff in Socotra as well as provision of transportation means to students.
In turn, student Sara Khalid expressed her happiness and joy for this generous distribution by Khalifa Foundation, as books would be considered as an important source for knowledge.
