The support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation in the education sector in Socotra is the main pillar for the success of the school year in the governorate.
Where the Foundation has been making continuous efforts for years to develop the educational field on the island and maintain the stability of the educational process in all the schools of the archipelago by taking care of teachers’ salaries to fill the shortage of schools, especially in specific disciplines, and distributing them to schools since the beginning of the school year.
The Foundation annually provides a large number of schoolbooks for the various academic levels in the governorate, which suffers from a lack of books, in an attempt to help the teacher to communicate information to the student and help them absorb the lessons and view them on a daily basis with ease.
The Khalifa Foundation is also working on running buses to transport students to the schools of Hadiboh from the eastern and western regions, as well as some students on the roads to their primary schools, which is one of the contributions that reduced the high transportation costs for parents.
Through its field teams, the Foundation visits schools, inspects their various requirements, and provides many of them, which ensure the stability of educational work, which is the focus of the team of Khalifa Foundation on the island.
Khalifa Foundation sponsors school competitions and honoring parties for students to encourage students to excel in science and education.
During the previous years, the Khalifa Foundation sponsored external scholarships for 120 male and female students from the island to study at university in various disciplines, on which hope relies on building and developing the island.
