Khalifa Foundation continues its humanitarian campaign against COVID-19 in Socotra, as the campaign began its work today to sterilize Qalansiyah, the second largest city in Socotra.
The sterilization operations started from the Eastern gate of the city through the public streets, Bin Thi Yazan and Qalansiyah Secondary Schools, hospital, and Police Station. The Emergency and Public Safety Team moved across different main streets in the city.
The people of Socotra met such campaign with wide praise. Essa Said Al Hakmy, Secretary General of Qalansiyah Directorate, stated that “Khalifa Foundation widely contributed to awareness-raising of the community in addition to its concern with the sterilization of public places and markets to prevent the novel coronavirus”.
He expressed his thanks for such awareness-raising, preventive and humanitarian works, which show concern with the safety of people of Socotra.
