The operations of rebuilding Qalansiyah Bridge have been continued since two years, as it caused many traffic accidents and blocked the road for the people.
In response to calls of the people, Khalifa Foundation carried out engineering studies to evaluate damages and needs.
Contractor Saad Essa Musalam assured that the operation of expansion of the bridge commenced a week ago to rebuild the bridge, and work would end within the few following weeks. He added that His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Representative of Khalifa Foundation, paid great attention to these humanitarian projects, and assured to the importance of quick completion of these projects.
In this regard, the people expressed their happiness and joy for these humanitarian projects. Socotra Online met citizen “Abdullah Suliman Al Qashri” who said that the bridge caused many traffic accidents when collapsed due to flood. He commended the role of Khalifa Foundation and effort of the United Arab Emirates.
Citizen “Ahmed Abdullah Ahmed Farjahi” thanked Khalifa Foundation for concerning with the infrastructure, especially rebuilding the bridge, which was considered as one of the main roads linking airport with the capital and other districts.
