Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation achieved many achievements in humanitarian aspects in the Socotra Archipelago. This aspect was considered as a deep-rooted methodology of the United Arab Emirates. It had a great record of charity and relief initiatives since the first founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan “May God Bless Him”. The Foundation reflected the methodology in reality through its works and activities in Socotra.
The Foundation concerned with achievement of different developmental projects in fields of health, education, electricity and water in order to achieve prosperity and development in Socotra. An official at Khalifa Foundation highlighted that Socotra Island had a great attention by Khalifa Foundation through provisions of social and financial aids to about 1400 families in different villages and cities of Socotra.
This initiative aimed at arrangement of financial assistance to the needy people to make them achieve their self-sufficiency.
