Khalifa Foundation promotes Secondary Education in Schools across Socotra

Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation concerned with promotion of the secondary education in schools across Socotra. It worked on filling the gap of staff of secondary education in Khalid Ibn Al Waleed (Male Students) and Al Zahraa (Female Students) and recruited teachers from Egypt for the year 2019-2020 to fill the gap and exchange experiences.

In this regard, Mr. Ibrahim Al Morsi said to Socotra Online that Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation affords a great effort to promote the education sector in the Socotra Archipelago, which is a main part of its charity message. It contracted with me to teach chemistry in Al Zahraa Secondary School. He added that he revised chemistry foundation with students, which showed that there was a lack of foundation studying during the prior-secondary stages. Therefore, he dedicated some classes to teach chemistry foundation.

In addition, Mr. Al Sayed Adel Khalaf said that he used the simplest methods of teaching to teach mathematics to the students of the first grade of secondary schools. While Mr. Mohamed Abdel Aal highlighted that the weak performance of students attributed to focusing on the schoolbook, but they had to exercise on solving different exercises.

Mr. Khalid Ali Abdel Motaleb highlighted many problems that had an essential role in the weak performance of the students including large number of students in the same class in addition to teaching selected parts of the curriculum and neglecting the other parts.

It was worth noting that all efforts of teachers and Khalifa Foundation aimed at promoting skills of students.
