Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation opened the road heading to Abtahr beach of the public road in the western coast of the Island.
Abdullah Salem, Project Supervisor, said that the road, which was 3-km long, was prepared under instructions of Representative of Khalifa Foundation, His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazroui, in order to facilitate moving of different kinds of vehicles to the beach after being restoring the road and removing sands that blocked it.
He highlighted that the road served a large number of fishermen in the south, through which they transported their different equipment and petroleum products to their sites, and marketed their products.
The people of the area expressed their happiness for the efforts of Khalifa Foundation for its continuous concern with serving the fishermen and meeting their requirements. Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Salem said that restoring the road to the coast in accordance with instructions of His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazroui in order to eliminate all obstacles that the fishermen might face during their work.
In this regard, resident Salem Abdullah Essa commended the efforts of Khalifa Foundation for opening the road to the coast and eliminating the problem of sand blocking the road.
