Anyone visits Qalansiyah will witness the availability of electricity the whole day, how not? Khalifa Foundation supported electricity sector in Qalansiyah by establishment of Sheikh Zayed Station –Year of Tolerance and supported this station with operating generators with 3 MW capacity in addition to technicians and experts.
In addition, the Foundation substituted the overhead electricity network with modern underground cables in order to avoid weather changes in Socotra.
Sheikh Ali Al Besiri, Sheikh of Maala, commended the great role made by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and its Representative His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei. It continuously supported and quickly responded to calls of the people to save them from interruption of electricity.
Mr. Essa bin Hamdon, Principal of Qalansiyah Secondary School, highlighted the great and remarkable improvement in electricity sector with the projects implemented by Dexim Power and supported by Khalifa Foundation.
Mr. Mubarak Baljaher highlighted that the United Arab Emirates has been the support to the people of Socotra in general and Qalansiyah in particular in order to improve the service sector during these hard conditions of the people on the Island.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation established many power stations in Hadiboh, Qalansiyah, and Muri in line with the mission of the Foundation.
