It has become very clear to everyone that the UAE humanitarian support to people of the Socotra Archipelago has become a differentiating point between past and present. Visitors to Socotra would witness the service and developmental projects in addition to the seasonal activities, that was under full concern of Khalifa Foundation.
Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has implemented humanitarian activities in different areas and villages across the Socotra Archipelago, as it worked on delivering assistance to remote villages, and drawing smiles on faces of people with strong will to deliver assistance regardless rough roads and bed weather.
Khalifa Foundation continues its humanitarian services to people of Socotra in all life fields to provide necessities to all people including domestic gas, which has become at all homes across Socotra without any effort.
Recently, Khalifa Foundation granted a new batch of modern police vehicles to the Socotra Police in sake of strengthening security and stability in Socotra. It was worth noting that such vehicles were prepared with all modern equipment and specifications that would help security officers in performance of assignments properly.
Mr. Raafat Al Theqali, Head of Transitional Council, commended all efforts afforded by Khalifa Foundation to help people of Socotra in all fields. He also asserted that this assistance would have a great effect on mitigation of suffer of people in relation with arrangement of essential and daily requirements.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation has worked on providing assistance to people of Socotra in different fields, as it significantly contributed to providing job opportunities to the youth through opening the first factory and establishment of the civil defense department of Khalifa Foundation… etc.
Care and concern by Khalifa Foundation was not limited to specific gender, as the Foundation worked on enabling women to have a leading role in all works. The Foundation provided women with financial and moral support through women associations in addition to provision of scholarships and others.
