Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation launched “Suqia” campaign in all districts and villages, which suffered from lack of water, across Socotra with presence of members at Development Committee; Salem Daheq Ali, Ali Salem Omar, Ali Faisal Al Besairi, and group of sheikhs and leaders.
The campaign, which would last for 3 months, aimed at helping the people of Socotra in relation with provision of home-use water and drinking water.
During such launch, Sheikh Ali bin Essa bin Afrar, Head of Development Committee, assured that Khalifa Foundation concerned with helping all people of Socotra and providing them with all life requirements. He also highlighted that the charity activities by Khalifa Foundation aimed at achievement of development and prosperity in Socotra.
In this regard, Sheikh Ahmed Ghaleb bin Yaqoob said that Squia campaign was very important and on time due to lack of water in many district. In addition, he expressed his thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation.
