Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation helps the people of Socotra by launching a sterilization campaign against the novel coronavirus today.
This precautionary measure was carried out by Khalifa Foundation within the concern with the safety of the people after the outbreak of COVID-19 around the world. The campaign would continue for 3 days targeting marine and air ports, plants, vital entities, and public and main streets in Hadiboh and Qalansiyah and aiming at prevention of the outbreak of COVID-19 and society awareness-raising.
The Emergency and Public Safety team consisting of 22 individuals with various specialties afforded a significant effort. The sterilization operations started from the port gate across the public spaces in Hadiboh during the following days to sterilize the public places, schools and hospitals.
The people of Socotra expressed their joy and pleasure of the campaign as it was very important as a preventive measure against the outbreak of the globally-spread COVID-19, and expressed their thanks to Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for its continuous efforts for safety of the people and the Island.
