Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation supported Suqia Campaign, which was launched on September 23, 2020, to reach to desert in Qalansiyah, Qabhaten, Amdahen, Ras Qotainan, Dexam, Western and Southern Coastline, and Nujed.
This campaign was very important to all people of Socotra, especially the ones who suffered from drought due to the late seasonal rain.
As response to the humanitarian calls by citizens of Socotra, Khalifa Foundation moved its teams to provide the people with successive teams of water tanks to help the water.
It was worth noting that Suqia Campaign provide the people of Socotra in different areas and villages with potable water on daily basis.
Suqia Campaign was not the first and would not be the last. People of Socotra has been depending on support by Khalifa Foundation, especially in relation with provision of potable water.
