Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation farms covered Socotra markets with vegetables and fruits as needed for the citizens to ensure healthy food.
On Monday, the first batch was sent to Socotra including 35 different types of vegetables and fruits to meet the citizens’ needs.
Socotra Online followed up the operations of picking, collecting and preserving vegetables in addition to transporting, distributing and selling them in stores to the citizens at prices suitable for the citizens’ living conditions.
The people rushed to purchasing the first batch arrived to Socotra market today due to the need of citizens for vegetables and fruits after their lack, and imports suspension due to COVID-19. It is an indication of the importance of agriculture and self-sufficiency in food.
Socotra Online sought the reactions of the people of Socotra, who expressed their pleasure of provision of vegetables and fruits at reasonable prices taking into account their living conditions.
