In coinciding with the beginning of Ramadan, relief teams of Khalifa Foundation distributed food assistance targeting west and middle districts with target of 1738 families.
This food assistance was in line with the annual program of Khalifa Foundation before beginning of Ramadan including various types of food required for the people of Socotra.
In a statement to Socotra Online, Mohamed Said Salem from Laska confirmed that charity of the United Arab Emirates was not new and the people of Socotra used to receive support from Khalifa Foundation. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates.
Sheikh Saleh Doher said that the people were very happy for receiving such food assistance, especially in the beginning of Ramadan to contribute to arranging necessities for Ramadan.
Mr. Abdullah Salem Al Tarbehi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for the great support to the people of Socotra.
Mubarak Essa Salem from Amdehen mentioned that they were in bad need for this assistance and confirmed that Khalifa Foundation has been the great supporter to the people of Socotra.
Sheikh Abdullah Saad Musalam, Sheikh of Shoaab, commended the outstanding effort of teams of Khalifa Foundation and expressed his deep appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and relief teams for affording such effort to reach to their district.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation worked on distribution of food assistance in accordance with an annual program targeting all villages and districts across Socotra.
