Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation carried out significant projects to support petroleum and gas field in the Socotra Archipelago as one of the vital and important fields.
Khalifa Foundation concerned with establishment of two gasoline stations in the capital “Hadiboh” and “Qalansiyah” in addition to stations in other places across Socotra. Furthermore, the Foundation established units for gas cylinders for local consumption (150 cylinders daily). The Foundation also prepared tanks to store petroleum materials with one and half Million liters of petroleum and 2 Million liters of diesel.
In accordance with an announcement by an official at Khalifa Foundation, the Foundation announced that the work was under progress in 4 gasoline stations in Nujed, Alama and Eastern Region in addition to a warehouse for gasoline with sea pipelines. It was expected to complete construction of warehouse and refilling unit(450 cylinders daily) soon.
