The presence of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation in the Socotra Archipelago contributed to improvement of quality of life of the people, as it helped in many aspects of life and provided many essential services to the people. In addition to the humanitarian presence of the Foundation, the team tries to hand over the financial assistance to 1300 needy individuals in different places across Socotra every 3 months.
The team targeted Qabhaten district, which contained 106 needy individuals; widows, orphans, and elderly. The team traveled about 70km from Hadiboh across many villages to hand over the financial assistance to the needy. The team went to Garmahm, Aala, Sadaqa, Daqshatin, Khodoroti, Drohoh, and Arab villages, while there were many targeted villages.
The team of Khalifa Foundation was largely welcomed by the people, who in turn expressed their thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation for such active assistance in the remote areas.
