Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation continues its developmental projects in Socotra International Airport. Ali Ahmed Al Dagheri, Assistant Director General of Socotra International Airport, highlighted that the Foundation commenced construction of a fence on the front of the Airport including parking and other service facilities with 120m2 length and 60cm height to be linked with the electronic gate organizing entrance of travelers and accompanying persons.
He highlighted that in line with the developmental efforts by Khalifa Foundation, buffets and restaurants would be opened in addition to halls for arrival and departures in order to keep the Airport safe and avoid crowds.
Khalifa Foundation implemented many developmental projects in Socotra International Airport including fencing the runway in full, installing solar power system, and rehabilitating airport halls. In addition, the Foundation implemented many works in relation with service and tourist facilities, airport furniture, and training firefighting teams.
