In huge celebration by the people of villages, Khalifa Foundation continued its work of electricity connection for all villages neighboring the capital Hadiboh. The Development Committee following Khalifa Foundation launched opening electricity connection to Qashaihen with presence of Engineer Yasser Al Ani, Director General of Dexim Power, the implementing company, in addition to group of sheikhs and leaders.
The celebration included group of events including folklore dances and large happiness of the people, who dreamt of the electricity during the last years. Finally, their dream has become true.
Socotra Online reflected opinion of the attending individuals including Engineer Zyad Sultan Abdullah, Director of Underground Cable Projects at Dexim Power, who in this regard expressed his happiness for completion of electricity connection to suburbs of Hadiboh.
Ali Abdullah Ali, Sheikh of Qashaihen, expressed his happiness for electricity connection, and said that the people largely appreciate this effort of the leaders of the United Arab Emirates represented by His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei, leader of development in Socotra.
In this regard, Khalifa Foundation and Dexim Power, with instructions of His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei, launched Sheikh Zayed Station 4 –Year of Tolerance with presence of sheikhs of west coast areas and group of people of Alama district. The station would start working tomorrow Sunday, January, 12, 2020.
Sheikh Said Suliman bin Qathen, Sheikh of Alama, commended launching this station, expressed his appreciation to Khalifa Foundation, and highlighted that these activities were familiar from the United Arab Emirates.
Mr. Mohamed Salem Al Selimi, Identifier of west coast, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation represented by the Leader of Development, His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei.
