Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation completed implementation of its relief project in Qarra in southwest of Socotra. It was divided into two phases.
The relief team implemented the second phase of the food assistance starting from early morning. It would help 233 families in 17 districts.
Khalifa Foundation was concerned with complete work quickly after completion of the first phase in order to draw smile on faces of the people in Qarra (Janoti, Salhen, Rahen, Kadodehen, Mohader, Qatana …etc.) by providing them with food assistance to the needy people including (flour, sugar, rice, tea, oil, and dates).
In this regard, Socotra Online met group of people to reflect their opinion. Saad Abdullah Ahmed mentioned that this assistance was not the first one, and would not be the last one to be provided by Khalifa Foundation. He also commended the role of the people and leaders of the United Arab Emirates for their great effort.
Suliman Ahmed Detian expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates represented by Khalifa Foundation. He also said that the people of Qarra were very happy for arrival of these assistance vehicles.
Mohamed Suliman Ahmed highlighted that this project would largely contribute to helping the people to arrange their necessities.
