In line with the fact that the youth are the base of the state, and key for its development and improvement, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation concerns with the Socotrian youth as the main power of developing community in all aspects. The UAE efforts are on the top of the humanitarian activities in the Socotra Archipelago, as it contributes through its humanity hands; Khalifa Foundation, by providing all kinds of support to service sectors, especially education.
Socotra Online reflected feedback of the youth of Socotra. Student Salem Saeed Masoud Awad commended the great effort of Khalifa Foundation in education sector in Socotra in addition to its concern with development of Socotra. He also mentioned that he was one of the students who was awarded scholarships to Egypt. He also highlighted that Khalifa Foundation established many schools and institutes in Socotra to teach English and computer.
Student Salem Saeed expressed his gratitude to Khalifa Foundation for concerning with supporting education sector across the Socotra Archipelago.
Student Abu Baker Essa Abdullah Saad highlighted that most of the youth of Socotra after completing the secondary school wish to continue to the university education, while majors in college in Socotra do not conform to their wishes besides the financial issues that would be considered as an obstacle. He also highlighted that Khalifa Foundation provided university scholarships to about 80 male and female students from Socotra in addition to provision of monthly salaries and paid accommodation for them.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation motivated the youth to afford more efforts in studying and academic achievement to be more skillful and keeping up with knowledge improvement.
