In New Achievement, Khalifa Foundation opens Power Plant of Alama District in the Western Coastline

With happiness and joy, Khalifa Foundation completed a new achievement today. Teams of Khalifa Foundation completed and opened the new underground cables network and installation of power regulators. Alama Power Plant would provide 1.5 MW of power that would help in providing people with uninterrupted electricity.

This achievement was in line with concern of Khalifa Foundation, through Dexam Power and Water Technology, with completion of power connection to all people across the Socotra Archipelago under supervision of experienced engineers and technicians.

Some villages witnessed connection of electricity through Sheikh Zayed 5 Tolerance (Alama Power Plant). It was worth noting that Alama Power Plant was near to Sheikh Zayed 5, which was in the western coastline.

Sheikh Ahmed Ghaleb bin Yaqoub “Head of Tribal Union of the Western Coastline” expressed gratitude and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates, represented by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and expressed happiness for such achievement.

In turn, officials of Dexam Power and Water Technology asserted continuation of work to replace overhead lines with underground cables to provide people across Socotra with uninterrupted electricity.

Furthermore, people of the Western Coastline thanked teams of Khalifa Foundation and Dexam Power and Water Technology for the great effort.
