It has many international centers and classifications, as it was classified by UNESCO in the World Heritage List in 2008, and the New York Times ranked it as the most beautiful island in the world in 2010, which helped in its fame to be one of the tourist attractions. This helped in the activity of the tourism sector to become one of the most important The sectors in the Archipelago, and due to the current conditions, have been negatively affected, which has led to a complete halt in tourism since 2015 to return again in 2021 and recover through international flights.
The best time to visit the island of Socotra is determined according to its temperature, and accordingly, the best time of the year to enjoy public outdoor activities starts from mid-December and extends to early March, when the temperature during that period ranges between 18 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature during this period is recorded in the third week of January.
