Sheikh Rashid Abbas, the Head of the Registration and Admission Committee for the Holy Quran Competition in Socotra Governorate, confirmed that the registration process for the competition is witnessing a continuous demand from memorizers and memorizers of the Quran to participate in its competitions.
Sheikh Abbas indicated during his arrival today at the Grand Mosque in Qalansiyah District that the Holy Quran competition was of great importance in this holy month, and it has received great follow-up on the island’s level.
Sheikh Abbas extended his thanks and appreciation to the Khalifa Foundation for its great interest in holding the competition that instills in the community the love and memorization of the Quran.
The committee worked on registering the memorizers of Quran in the Directorate of Qalansiyah and Abdul-Kuri with the five levels of the competition, as part of the preliminary qualifiers to select the contestants who qualified for the advanced stage.
The competition would be held with the support of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation as part of its humanitarian and community initiatives that it adopts in the Archipelago.
