The people of Socotra expressed their happiness and joy for resumption of UAE “Royal Jet” flights to Socotra to transport patients and travelers from Socotra to the United Arab Emirates.
The people believed that the civil plane of “Royal Jet” is a linking bridge between the people of Socotra and United Arab Emirates. It was the only mean to transport the people of Socotra to the other world.
Head of Intense Care Department in Sheikh Khalifa Hospital, Dr. Saber Abdel Wali Al Faqih, said that a patient was transported from the intense care department to the United Arab Emirates for treatment today, and Khalifa Foundation would pay the costs.
The people of Socotra expressed their thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation and the United Arab Emirates in their speaking to Socotra Online.
Lieutenant Colonel Yahia Balamhen said that these flights worked on helping the people through transporting them without costs to the United Arab Emirates, which kept the Island in continuous movement.
