The UAE Ship “AD Astra” completed discharge of its load in Socotra port. The ship came from the United Arab Emirates with a load of humanitarian assistance and support to service sectors as required to the people.
This support was in line with the effort of helping the people of Socotra by the leaders and people of the United Arab Emirates within the extent of the fraternity feelings inside the people. It was in line with the concern of Khalifa Foundation with provisions of food assistance and support in service sectors.
The ship suffered many risks during its path from Abu Dhabi to Socotra due to the bad weather during this season in addition to high waves and strong winds that might reach to 50 knots/ hour. Upon arrival, the people of Socotra expressed their happiness and joy for its arrival, as it brought their needs of home gas and petroleum products in addition to food and medical needs.
In this regard, the people of Socotra expressed their thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for its great support and effort.
