Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation sent food assistance vehicles to Al Ashaari, Gowa and Hasen blocks in Gowa District in East Socotra, when the Foundation distributed the food assistance that included different types such as (rice, sugar, flour, oil, dates, salt, and tomato) to the people. This was in line with concern of Khalifa Foundation with helping all people across Socotra and providing them with their requirements.
During launch of distribution of the food assistance, Ahmed Mohamed “Identifier of Gowa District” asserted that the people of Socotra used to witness the humanitarian assistance by Khalifa Foundation, the hand of charity of the UAE in Socotra, starting with the field teams, which were working on defining needs of people to provide them. He also indicated that there were tangible differences in Socotra in electricity, education, rescue, job opportunities, and health over 6 years thanks to the UAE and its hands of charity.
In turn, Saeed Saad asserted that distribution of the food assistance was a completion of series of relief assistance by the UAE, which would contribute to securing large part of food needs of people of Socotra. He also mentioned that people were very happy for distributing the food assistance before the start of the seasonal storm period.
Sheikh Yahia Ahmed Saad Al Ashaari indicated that the UAE has been the main supporter to people of Socotra in different fields and in term of achievement of stability. He also highlighted that people of Socotra would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the UAE for the great support to developmental, service and relief projects at all times.
