Formal and Popular Positive Welcome of the UAE Role in Transporting the Injured to be treated in Hospitals of Abu Dhabi

The initiative by the United Arab Emirates of sending a Royal Jet flight to Socotra International Airport to transport two families had a traffic accident in the second day of Eid Al Adha in Socotra –was largely welcomed by people of Socotra. As the United Arab Emirates sent the flight to transport the injured to be treated in the United Arab Emirates on expenses of Khalifa Foundation.

People of different categories in Socotra commended the great role by the United Arab Emirates in supporting people of Socotra in health sector, as it proceeded to send the injured to the United Arab Emirates to be urgently treated in hospitals of Abu Dhabi for free.

Engineer Raed Al Juraibi, Senior Deputy Governor of Socotra, mentioned that they were in the Socotra International Airport to say goodbye to the nine injured persons, who had a traffic accident to be treated in the United Arab Emirates on expenses of Khalifa Foundation. It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation responded to calls of people of Socotra, who in turn expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation for the great support.

Al Juraibi expressed his special thanks to the medical staff of Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Socotra, as the team members afforded all possible efforts to help the injured until their transport to the UAE hospitals.

Dr. Farag Yasser, Director of Health Office in Socotra, indicated that the Socotra International Airport would receive the injured persons to be transported to the United Arab Emirates by Royal Jet flight. He expressed his gratitude to Khalifa Foundation for support during all hard times.

Dr. Akram Al Sharaabi, Care Specialist at Khalifa Hospital in Socotra, highlighted that more than 9 injured persons were received in different conditions due to the traffic accident, and there were three critical cases that required immediate medical intervention at Intense Care Department at the hospital.

The Human Rights Activist/ Abdel Kareem bin Qablan expressed gratitude and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for the outstanding support and its concern with transporting the critical cases to be treated in Abu Dhabi.
