People of Jawa district in Socotra welcomed the teams of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, which reached for distribution of food assistance to the people, yesterday.
This was in line with the relief and humanitarian program of Khalifa Foundation to support the Socotra Archipelago. The food assistance included (rice, sugar, flour, oil, dates, and shahi).
Socotra Online was present to reflect the happiness of people for arrival of the teams, and met group of sheikhs and leaders. Sheikh Salem Omar, member at Development Committee in Socotra, said that these grants by Khalifa Foundation were in line with the deep concern with the people of Socotra and meeting their life requirements through improvement of the basic services including health care, education, water and electricity service, roads, and other sectors.
In this regard, Sheikh Ali Salem Mubarak commended the role of Khalifa Foundation and the outstanding role of its teams in all areas and villages, and highlighted that the people were very happy for arrival of the food assistance vehicles during these blessing days in Du Al Hijjah.
Sheikh Ali Mohamed Saad commended the activities of Khalifa Foundation and efforts of their teams.
