Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation sent food assistance vehicles to the people of Asroti, from which 134 families would benefit. The food assistance included rice, flour, sugar, oil and tea in addition to gifts and ma’mol for children for celebration of Eid Al Adha.
Sheikh Mohamed Taher, leader of Asroti, praised the great effort of Khalifa Foundation in delivering such food assistance to the people of Asroti in spite of the rough roads, which were damaged due to the tropical depressions. The teams of Khalifa Foundation faced such challenges in order to deliver the food assistance to the nearest point to Asroti. He also added that the people were surprised of the arrival of the teams, and said that words could not express thanks and appreciation of the people to Khalifa Foundation.
Salem Ali Ahmed expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for the outstanding humanitarian role in the Socotra Archipelago.
Salem Essa Saad highlighted that Khalifa Foundation was always concerned with helping the people of Socotra during hard times, and its humanitarian and developmental role was highly appreciated by the people of Socotra in all districts.
