The Football Association Office in Socotra determined to hold the final match of Nujed Football Championship, which was organized by the Office and supported by Khalifa Foundation, on 1st of October.
Saleh Ali Mohsen, Secretary General of Football Association Office in Socotra, said that the final match between Al Nassr and Nujed would be held on 1st of October on Zayed City 1 Playground with presence of leaders of Socotra Governorate and representatives from Khalifa Foundation.
He also highlighted that the final match of the Championship for this year would be different in extent of ceremony to honor the champion team. There have been several organizing measures reflecting importance of the Championship and its positive impact on the clubs.
Saleh Ali Mohsen commended the outstanding effort of Khalifa Foundation and expressed his appreciation for the continuous support by the Foundation to the sport and youth sectors in Socotra.
It was worth noting that Al Nassr and Nujed were qualified to the final match after winning against Al Jazeera 4/3 by penalties and Al Sharq by two goals for none respectively.
Furthermore, it was worth noting that the Championship witnessed a great official and popular interest, as it was launched on 20th of June with participation of 18 clubs divided into 4 groups.
